A451 - What is a Computer System?

A Computer System

A Computer System is able to take in an input, process that input and then produce an output.
The input provides data to the system, usually in a physical format. For example, the keyboard and mouse can input data.
The data is then processed and made into useful data. Processing can include several stages.
After processing, we get the output. The data that been processed is presented to the user.

Reliability

It is essential that the computer systems we use are reliable as we are very dependant on them. Unreliable systems can have devastating effects so it's important that they are tested before being used.
